Mariah Casey is a recent graduate at the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Law and Society.
Her vocational work, expressed in her writing, entails the use of critical socio-legal theory in conceptualizing how the law may enact or deter social change.
Interested in working towards an anti-oppressive/anti-racist jurisprudence, her volunteering and advocacy is devoted to protecing the rights, integrity, and wellness of racial and sexual minorities. As a queer, racialized woman, she strives to be a voice for marginalized communities who remain underrepresented in dominant discourse.
