Lily Lalonde (she/her) is going into her Fourth year at Trent University pursuing a BA Honours in Political Studies, with a Specialization in Public Policy and an Option in Legal Studies. She hopes to attend law school upon completing her undergraduate degree and pursue a career in criminal or human rights law.
As an avid feminist and aspiring lawyer, Lily has always had an interest in the relationship between gender equality and our justice system. As Co-Founder of the Trent University Feminist Association (TUFA) and now acting as President, Lily was able to explore her passion by creating a supportive community where students can advocate and fundraise for gender equality. Lily is also a member of Students Pursuing Law After Trent (SPLAT), an organization that provides opportunities and resources for prospective law students, as well as the Senior Senator on the Gzowski College Cabinet where she regularly attends Trent University Senate meetings advocating on behalf of the student body.
Lily takes great pride in her volunteer work and she is eager to be a part of the DDRIOC Student Advisory Committee! She looks forward to contributing to the growth of the organization and the opportunity to further develop her writing skills as a Sideblog writer. Please feel free to reach out to Lily to chat about law, politics, ADR, or gender equality!
